myBaits hybridisation capture probes for targeted sequencing enrichment before NGS
When you need to enrich target regions from a sequencing library before NGS, hybridisation capture uses biotinylated bait probes to pull them out. The workhorse for targeted sequencing in ancient DNA, low-input forensic samples, phylogenomics, and pathogen surveillance.
Pick by panel and chemistry.
- Panel. Catalogue panels for human exome, ultraconserved elements, plant chloroplast, and many model organisms. Custom design supports any user-specified region.
- Bait length and tiling. Longer and denser tiling improves capture from degraded DNA but raises cost.
- Bait chemistry. RNA baits give higher specificity at cost of stability. DNA baits are more robust.
- Sample. Ancient DNA needs high-sensitivity dense tiling. Modern samples need standard protocol on more samples in parallel.
