Simoa reaches femtogram per millilitre levels, roughly 1000 times more sensitive than a standard sandwich ELISA, which is typically limited to picogram per millilitre detection.
Services
Single Molecule Array (Simoa) Testing Service
Ultrasensitive Simoa protein detection service for low-abundance biomarkers in complex samples
Some biomarkers sit below what a standard ELISA can see. Simoa, or single molecule array detection, reaches femtogram per millilitre sensitivity, around 1000 times lower than a conventional sandwich immunoassay, so you can measure proteins that were previously out of range. The RayBiotech Ultrasensitive Simoa Testing Service runs your samples on a dedicated Simoa analyser, so you get the data without owning the instrument. You ship your samples and the team performs the assay and returns a full data report.
Simoa isolates single immunocomplexes on paramagnetic beads using standard ELISA reagents, then traps individual beads in femtolitre-sized wells for a digital, molecule-by-molecule readout. That digital counting is what pushes the detection limit far below an analogue ELISA.
Applications
- Low-abundance proteins. Targets sitting at femtogram to picogram levels in a sample fall well below the detection floor of a standard sandwich ELISA.
- Low-volume and precious samples. Limited serum, plasma, CSF, and other complex matrices return usable data, so your material does not have to be pooled before the run.
- Multiplex panels. Up to 4 analytes are quantified in a single run, which conserves your sample volume and shortens the time each cohort spends in the assay.
- Ship-and-report workflow. Your samples go to the GLP-compliant lab and a validated protein quantification report comes back, with no Simoa instrument on site.
