Pick by application and purity.
- Composition. Premixed dNTP at fixed ratio for most uses. Individual nucleotides for unequal-ratio applications.
- Purity grade. For NGS library prep use ultrapure dNTPs to minimise sequencing error rate. For routine PCR standard grade is fine.
- Modifications. dUTP for carryover prevention. Biotin-dUTP for nick translation. Fluorescent-dUTP for in situ labelling. Chain-terminator ddNTPs for Sanger sequencing.
- Concentration. 10 mM is standard. 100 mM for high-throughput pipetting where dilution would compound error.
- Storage. Verify storage stability and freeze-thaw tolerance for your usage frequency.
