Description

Stellaris® FISH Probes, Human AKT1 with Quasar® 570 Dye consists of a set of dye-labeled oligos mixed and pooled into a final delivered amount of 5 nmol, which yields approximately 200-400 hybridizations under standard conditions.

Designed to detect AKT1 transcripts in specimens using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).

Design Criteria

Product was designed against v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 1; PBKA, RAC AKT1 a.k.a. AKT; PKB; RAC; CWS6; PRKBA; PKB-ALPHA; RAC-ALPHA (NCBI gene ID:207) and nucleotides 476-2986 of NM_005163.2. This is an inclusive probe set designed to also detect the following variants: NM_001014431, NM_001014432.

The probe set has not been tested for potential cross-hybridization to RNA(s) of paralogous and orthologous gene(s) in the same or other species.

Fluorescence Parameters

  • Absorption Maximum (Lambda Max): 569 nm
  • Fluorescence Maximum: 591 nm

Product Usage

Please note that reconstituted probe mix should be subjected to a minimum number of freeze-thaw cycles.

For daily and short-term use, the mix can be stored at +2 to +8 °C in the dark for up to a month.

For long-term use: We recommend freezing reconstituted probes in the dark at -15 to -30 °C for storage lasting longer than a month.
