qPCR & RT-qPCR Controls

Reference RNA, spike-in controls, and synthetic templates for qPCR and RT-qPCR validation

Reference RNA and DNA materials, spike-in controls, and synthetic templates for qPCR and RT-qPCR validation. Controls include universal reference RNA for cross-experiment normalisation, ERCC spike-in panels for RNA-seq calibration, and synthetic templates of known copy number for absolute quantification curves.

Pick by control type.

  1. Cross-sample normalisation. Use reference RNA pooled from multiple tissue types. Acts as inter-experiment calibrator.
  2. Input-control spike-in. Use synthetic spike-ins (ERCC for RNA-seq, ddPCR-validated DNA spike-ins for qPCR) to monitor pipeline performance.
  3. Standard curve template. Use templates of defined copy number for absolute quantification.
  4. Certification level. For absolute quantification copy-number standards must come from a defined source with batch records; without that, claims of absolute concentration are not defensible.
  5. Storage. Verify storage stability and freeze-thaw tolerance.

Meridian Life Science carries standard qPCR controls.
