Glycobiology Arrays
Lectin and Glycan Arrays for Glycosylation Profiling and Carbohydrate-Binding Screening
Lectin and glycan arrays for glycosylation profiling and carbohydrate-binding screening
Lectin arrays, glycan arrays, and Glycome Arrays give you three ways to profile glycosylation and screen carbohydrate-binding protein interactions at scale. Lectin arrays immobilise panels of lectins with defined carbohydrate specificities on a solid support, and fluorescently labelled glycoprotein samples bind according to their surface glycan composition to produce a binding profile. Glycan arrays take the complementary approach, printing defined carbohydrate structures to capture glycan-binding proteins such as lectins, antibodies, or pathogens from solution. Both formats support glycoprotein biomarker discovery, glycosylation changes during disease or drug treatment, and host-pathogen carbohydrate interactions.
Pick by content and quantification.
- Glycan content. Broad survey arrays of 500+ glycans for de novo specificity. Focused panels for specific glycan classes.
- Readout. Fluorescence with labelled probe. Chemiluminescence for low-input samples.
- Sample. Verify your sample type (purified protein, serum, supernatant) is supported.
- Quantification. Semi-quantitative reference-based; absolute binding-affinity requires orthogonal SPR or ITC.
- Confirmation. After array discovery confirm hits by orthogonal binding methods before publishing specificity claims.
RayBiotech supplies glycan arrays in this inventory.
