Coriolis biological air samplers for cyclonic collection of airborne microorganisms and particles

The Coriolis range draws air through the unit at high flow, so biological particles spin directly into your liquid or dry sample in a single step.

The Coriolis+ enables liquid collection of your samples at a flow rate that can be adjusted between 100 and 300 l/min. A long-time monitoring option can be added to allow multi-hour particle collection.

The Coriolis Compact enables dry collection of your samples at a fixed flow rate of 50 l/min. It is particularly suitable for your air sampling in the field.

Consumables include collection cones and air intakes, sterile cones and caps, and collection liquids in bottles or single-dose sterile vials, matched to your instrument.

How does a cyclonic air sampler work?

A cyclonic air sampler draws air through an inlet at a set flow rate, into a spinning cone. Centrifugal force deposits airborne particles from the air stream, including fungal spores, bacteria and endospores.

With the Coriolis+, particles are collected into a liquid, ready for culture media, PCR tubes or counting chambers. With the Coriolis Compact, particles are collected dry. This wet-collection approach is gentler than impaction methods, and it helps maintain cell viability for culture-based enumeration.
