Description

Axol ax0177 iPSC-derived neural stem cells (NSCs) from patients with sporadic Alzheimer’s disease (sAD) provide a physiologically relevant in vitro model for investigating neurodegenerative mechanisms and advancing drug discovery.

The NSCs are derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) obtained from a female donor aged 52, clinically diagnosed with sporadic Alzheimer’s disease (sAD) and carrying the ApoE3/E4 genotype. These cells provide a physiologically relevant model for studying neurodegenerative disorders, drug discovery, and disease mechanisms in the context of Alzheimer’s pathology.

  • Disease-relevant origin: derived from a sporadic Alzheimer’s disease donor (ApoE3/E4 genotype)
  • Differentiation potential: can be efficiently matured into cortical excitatory or striatal neurons
  • Cortical identity: express key markers of cerebral cortical neurons, including MAP2, TBR1, CTIP2, VGLUT, and TUJ1
  • Research applications: suitable for electrophysiology, neurotoxicity testing, co-culture systems, compound screenings, and neurodegeneration mechanisms
