Their permeable nature makes inserts a convenient and powerful resource for various research applications, including studies related to cell migration and invasion.

• Excellent-quality images
  – The membrane does not stain when performing common staining for imaging (i.e., crystal violet)
  – Images can be taken without removing the insert from the plate. 
• Even pore sizes throughout the membrane provide accurate results when evaluating cell invasion
• Medium can be added to the outer wells without removing the inserts
• The inserts support and sustain proper solidification of the hydrogel matrices
