Single Molecule Protein Detection - Simoa Testing Services
Product Description
- Ideal for low abundance proteins, low volume samples
- Compatible with serum, plasma, CSF, other complex matrices
- Multiplexing available for up to 4 analytes
- Ship your samples, and we'll do the rest
Single molecule array (Simoa®) testing is a powerful new technique that is orders of magnitude more sensitive than standard sandwich based immunoassay techniques.
Simoa requires a dedicated detector. For researchers who don't have accesss to such a device, we offer the Simoa Testing Service where samples can be shipped to us, and RayBiotech will perform the assay and create a data report. Please contact us to discuss your project and get a quote.
A minimum of 10 samples is required to order this service. Multiplexing is available for up to 4 analytes.
How it Works
Simoa, which stands for single molecule array, is a bead-based sandwich immunoassay. The antibody-coated beads, the sample, and the fluorescently conjugated detection antibody are mixed together to form immunocomplexes. This mixture is then applied to a cartridge with over 200,000 microwells, with each microwell only being able to hold one bead. This enables a precise fluorescent readout in the femtomolar range even when only a single molecule of the target analyte is bound to the bead.
