PEG Blockers for Gold Sensors

Product Description

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is an effective blocking reagent to reduce non-specific binding on gold sensor surfaces and fill in empty spaces. This improves the specificity of the response in label-free surface plasmon resonance applications. Nicoya offers thiolated PEG reagents that bind directly to the gold surface with a high density and affinity. The standard molecular weight is 2000 g/mol but other sizes are available upon request.

The PEG Blockers come in quantities of 50mg as a powder and is typically diluted in water or running buffer to a working concentration of 10-50 uM.
