Biocat's partner Telesis Bio Inc., formerly named Codex DNA and SGI-DNA, is on a mission to empower scientific researchers in both academic and commercial settings with materials, and methodologies required to rapidly and accurately use synthetic genes to, in effect, build biology.

Aiming to facilitate gene cloning and protein production procedures, Telesis Bio's portfolio includes Gibson Assembly reagents. The Gibson Assembly method, created by Daniel G. Gibson, co-founder of Telesis Bio, is the gold standard molecular cloning method and allows for the joining of multiple DNA fragments to build genes and genomes in a single, isothermal reaction.
