Bioluminescent and fluorescent reporters for in vivo cell tracking and imaging
When you need to follow cells in vivo through xenograft tumour growth, cell therapy biodistribution, immune trafficking, or stem cell engraftment, bioluminescent and fluorescent reporters give the readout. Stable lentiviral integration of luciferase or fluorescent protein with optional dual reporters supports both whole-animal imaging and ex vivo flow confirmation.
Pick reporter for imaging modality.
- Whole-animal bioluminescence. Choose firefly luciferase. Universal animal-imaging substrate (D-luciferin).
- Orthogonal multi-reporter. Choose Renilla or NanoLuc for dual-reporter in vivo studies.
- Secreted serum tracking. Choose Gaussia for bioluminescent tracking in serum samples.
- Ex vivo and confocal. Choose GFP or RFP.
- Dual reporter design. Bicistronic gives coupled expression at lower second-reporter levels. Dual-promoter independent expression.
For longitudinal in vivo studies confirm signal stability during cell expansion before injection; some clones silence reporter expression over time. SBI System Biosciences leads with broad lentiviral reporter and dual-reporter combinations.
